Established in 2003, Focus Group is proud to be one of the UK's fastest growing independent providers of essential business technology, providing digital workplace solutions to over 30,000 customers across the UK. Our newly created Focus Cloud division is expanding, and we are looking for a Cloud Billing Specialist to join our team.
The role is to ensure that Focus Cloud:
- Accurately and reliably procure and bill customers for cloud license and consumption services;
- Effectively manage our cloud partner relationships, accreditations, and status (both vendor and distributor);
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal stakeholders and end customers around consumption, billing, and licensing queries;
- Define and manage the end-to-end license and consumption management processes for cloud services, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;
- Support Cloud Sales Support to manage the license request queue and license contract renewals;
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise costs and improve efficiency;
- Maintain strong relationships with cloud service providers and vendors;
- Monitor and analyse cloud service usage and costs, providing regular reports to management;
- Collaborate with internal teams, including cloud delivery, finance, technology, and operations, to ensure alignment on cloud service needs and budget;
- Act as an escalation point for billing and procurement issues, resolving complex problems and disputes;
- Audit and document cloud service usage and billing processes to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards;
- Lead best practices for cloud billing and procurement, including training, documentation, and knowledge sharing;
- Manage the Microsoft Partner portal, membership, marketplace, and benefits;
- Develop accreditation and specialisation achievement plans, working with delivery teams and sales teams to maintain certifications and customer targets;
- Ensure vendor partner rebates, incentives, and co-op funding schemes are identified, claimed, and managed;
- Communicate key partner messages to delivery, sales, and marketing teams effectively.
Requirements:
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in Microsoft license and consumption billing management, procurement, and cost optimisation;
- Strong understanding of cloud service providers (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud) and their billing models;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills;
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
