My client is a leading beauty brand owner with a broad portfolio of stunning brands across various categories. They are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Packaging Specialist and NPD Administrator to manage the process of collecting, verifying, and reporting various compliance-related data. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring all required packaging, product, and sustainability information is accurately captured and declared for both internal systems and external compliance bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
- NetSuite Data Management: Enter all required product setup information, including dimensions, WEEE details, and packaging material data, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Data Integrity: Regularly review NetSuite reports to verify product data (weight, dimensions, materials) and ensure compliance calculations are accurate.
- UK Compliance (Valpak Trade Customers): Prepare EPR declarations by compiling product data (materials, weight, packaging type) for customers like ASOS and Boots, and maintain accurate records.
- Plastic Tax Reporting (HMRC): Track imports/exports for plastic tax calculations, segregate data by SKU, and submit quarterly declarations to HMRC.
- EPR Data Submission: Gather and report sales, imports, and packaging data biannually, including material segregation for household and non-household packaging.
- International Compliance: Manage WEEE and EPR reporting across Germany, Sweden, France, and Spain, ensuring adherence to local regulations and submission formats.
- Waste Reporting: Use inventory data to declare product waste by material via the Veolia portal, ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
- Sustainability and Certifications: Track and report certification data for packaging materials and maintain compliance with sustainability regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements in data collection, reporting, and compliance procedures, collaborating with relevant teams.
- NPD Support: Assist with new product setup, barcode creation, translations, and maintaining accurate records of NPD samples.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in compliance, sustainability reporting, or data management, preferably within packaging or product compliance industries.
- Familiarity with EPR, WEEE, Plastic Tax, and other environmental regulations in the UK and EU is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas and data manipulation.
- Experience with CSV uploads, report generation, and data validation.
- Knowledge of environmental compliance software and portals (e.g., Valpak, Veolia, HMRC, Clarity).
- Ability to identify gaps in data and proactively resolve issues to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
