English Teacher – £31,650 to £49,084 Crawley, West Sussex Secondary School About the Role We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their vibrant team at this great Secondary School. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality English lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4 (and possibly Key Stage 5, if applicable), helping them develop a strong command of language, literature, and critical thinking skills. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver inspiring lessons in English Language and Literature, following the national curriculum. Assess, monitor, and support students' progress, providing constructive feedback. Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles. Foster a love for reading, writing, and analysis in students. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages discussion and creativity. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies. Participate in school activities, including parents' evenings, extracurricular clubs, and literacy initiatives.Requirements Essential: A degree in English, Literature, or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching English at secondary level. Strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage and inspire students.
