Location: Based in MASH - Pontypridd Police Station
The RCT Emergency Duty Team provides an emergency generic social work service that covers RCT, Bridgend, and Merthyr. We are currently looking for experienced Social Work Practitioners to join our team, working on a casual basis, either on call or office-based, demonstrating appropriate aptitude and skills to work as part of a fixed rota, providing an emergency and out-of-hours social work response to vulnerable children and adults.
We are looking for applicants with sharp assessment and analytical skills who can make sound risk assessments and decisions in a crisis. As a casual worker, you will be expected to cover available shifts to address sickness and annual leave. The shifts will include weekend days, evenings, and nights when required.
You will work as part of our busy team and will possess the ability to work on your own initiative with others, such as Police and Health professionals.
Minimum Requirements:- Relevant Social Work Qualification.
- Registration with Social Care Wales.
- Approved Mental Health Practitioner Award (AMHP) is desirable.
This post pays a supplement for the AMHP qualification and for working unsocial hours (after 10 pm and on weekends/Bank Holidays). Appointment to this position is subject to satisfactory clearance of non-police personnel vetting level 3.
