Location: Netherton

Salary: £11.55 per hour

Essential: Experience with Autism and Learning Disabilities

Role: Permanent Full time 37.5 hours per week

Shifts: 7:30am-3pm & 2:30pm-10pm. You must be able to work both shifts & work weekends.

You must be 18 years old and above to apply for the role.

If you have previous experience as a support worker, care assistant, domiciliary/home care, or residential homes then this would be ideal for you.

About the service

We provide support to individuals in their own flats. Individuals that are supported at the service may be autistic or have a diagnosis of learning disability, some individuals may display some challenging behaviour. Everyone is an individual & is supported in a person-centred way & no day is the same.

Support Worker duties:

  • Supporting residents to develop independence and life skills.
  • Assisting people to achieve daily goals & daily activities such as arts, crafts, hobbies.
  • Assisting with the development of person-centred plans for our residents. This includes employment, education and other opportunities.
  • Maintaining records and drawing up risk assessments.
  • Providing personal care where needed always working towards more independence.
  • Supporting people in undertaking daily activities or development.
