Specialty Doctor in General Psychiatry

Triple West Medical have been appointed by an NHS Trust based in the South West to help recruit a Specialty Doctor in General Psychiatry on a substantive or FTC bases.

The Trust provide a range of mental health, learning disability and substance misuse services for the local region. The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and friendly department of Psychiatrists whose service include inpatient, community services, specialist services, and emergency services.

Brief Duties:

Under the supervision of the ward Consultants, you will provide senior medical input to the care and treatment of psychiatric inpatients
Work with medical colleagues, the wider MDT and the patient\’s supporting system to support thorough assessment and implementation of robust management plans, to ensure timely, safe and effective discharge from inpatient care.
The role will include both direct patient contact and consultation/supervision of others. You will participate in Consultant-led ward rounds, review patients independently and work with junior medical staff to ensure the actions from clinical management plans, including physical health assessments, are completed promptly
You will be supporting the Consultants in their role as the Responsible Clinician for patients under the Mental Health Act
You will be supported in your role by training-grade doctors, which would be a combination of Core Trainee and Foundation Doctors

Our Client is happy to issue Certificate of Sponsorships to suitably qualified overseas doctors. GMC registration and relevant experience is essential for this position.
