Twenty4Seven Education is seeking a full-time qualified, enthusiastic and highly effective Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher for an excellent ‘Good’ Ofsted-rated Secondary School in Broadstairs, Kent. From January until July, you will be teaching French and German full-time to KS3-KS4 pupils.

Key Responsibilities:
- Have regard for the need to safeguard pupils’ well-being following statutory provisions.
- Set high expectations which inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils.
- Plan and teach well-structured differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum and the school’s curriculum policy.
- Give pupils regular feedback and encourage pupils to respond to the feedback.
- Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment following the school’s behaviour policy.
- Deploy any support staff effectively.
- Take responsibility for improving teaching through appropriate professional development, responding to advice and feedback from colleagues.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, French, and German.
- Liaise with parents and other professionals about pupils’ achievements and well-being.
Must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience working within an educational setting or similar (minimum of 12 months of experience).
- Excellent subject knowledge.
- Child DBS check on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one (Twenty4Seven Education can assist you with this process).
- Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum.
- Read the DfE ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (2024) document.
- Excellent classroom management.
- Good communication skills.
