JOB – Quality Engineer / Metrology Specialist

LOCATION – Gloucestershire

TERM – Permanent

SALARY – up to £35,000 – £50,000 per annum (dependant on experience).

We are looking for a Quality Engineer, CMM Programmer or Metrology Specialist on a permanent basis in the West Drayton area with experience of machined parts. Your main duties will be assisting with the day-to-day activities of the Quality engineering and Manufacturing team.

The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

1. 2 years’ experience or more in a similar Quality Engineering, CMM or Metrology focused position.
2. Knowledge of various Quality Inspection / metrology tools and techniques.
3. Understanding of ISO9001 or similar QMS standards.
4. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
5. Familiarity with the auditing process.
6. Previous experience working in a similar machined parts manufacturer.
7. Excellent organizational and planning skills.
8. Ability to work independently.
9. Experience in customer / client focused communication – advantageous.

The Quality Engineer role will involve:

1. Assisting the Management within the business on Metrology questions and responsibilities.
2. Advising on best methods of Quality Inspection / Engineering.
3. Carrying out inspection of various components.
