We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Hoveringham team as a Senior Team Leader.

This role involves overseeing business operations, managing relevant shift patterns, and supporting team members to ensure production standards are met. Responsibilities include health & safety, resource management, achieving production targets, quality assurance, cost control, asset management, and maintenance.

You will manage all shift activities to meet KPIs, foster a culture of continuous improvement, reduce costs, and minimize waste and energy use.

Your duties include but are not limited to:

• Planning, coordinating, and managing a team to deliver plant operations safely, efficiently, and productively in line with KPIs.
• Managing health & safety to meet legislative and company standards.
• Developing employee capabilities to enhance operational performance and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Supporting the plant’s business plan by promoting continuous improvement and engagement.
• Implementing operational improvements for cost reduction, energy savings, and waste minimization.
• Driving yield improvements and product quality.
• Managing operating costs aligned with the business plan.
• Handling HR activities and deputising for the Production Manager as needed.
• Shaping a sustainable culture focused on energy reduction, waste control, and environmental impact.

About You:

• Flexible, proactive, and a self-starter.
• Effective time management and adaptable.
• Experience in fast-paced environments with managerial or supervisory background.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Computer literate and resourceful in managing team dynamics.
• Ability to lead, develop teams, and uphold company values and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Relevant operational experience.
• Desired: IOSH Managing Safely, IEMA Environmental Sustainability Skills, Management qualification, NEBOSH.
• Excellent IT skills.
