We’re currently working on behalf of a well-established and internationally active cost consultancy that delivers expert services across a diverse range of sectors. With a strong presence in the UK and expanding operations overseas, this firm is now seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Leeds team.
The Role:
You’ll play a key role in delivering full pre- and post-contract quantity surveying services on a variety of high-profile projects. The role offers excellent exposure, autonomy, and the chance to take ownership of your own workload in a client-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Contract:
- Estimating and cost planning
- Advising on procurement strategies
- Preparing tender documentation and contracts
- Measurement and preparation of BoQs
- Risk management and value engineering
- Cost benchmarking and planning
- Cost reporting and interim valuations
- Managing variations and change control
- Final account preparation and negotiation
- Addressing and resolving contractual issues
Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years’ experience in a consultancy or contractor environment
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- RICS qualified or actively working towards chartership
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
