An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Estates Multi-Skilled Operative (Building) to join the busy and vibrant London Estates Maintenance Department at West London NHS Trust.
London Estates Maintenance Department requires a highly motivated, reliable and flexible Multi-Skilled Operative (Building) to work as a key member of the Estates Team. You will play a proactive role within the team, delivering key objectives to meet both departmental and Trust requirements.
The post holder will assist the Estates Directorate to provide a comprehensive and responsive Estate Management Service to all of the Trust\’s properties.
You will be a hands-on maintenance Multi-Skilled Operative (Building) who is able to deliver the full range of duties associated with the post holder\’s core building fabric craft trade.
- Using post holder’s specific trade skills and knowledge, install, repair and maintain the Hospitals’ building fabric, fixtures and fittings, finishes and decorations.
- To have the skills and experience to carry out cross trade works where necessary, such as glazing, carpentry, joinery, painting and decorating, basic plumbing, waste blockages, and the installation of ligature prevention works.
- Carry out new work requests, reactive work requests, and weekly planned preventative maintenance dockets efficiently, to performance targets and with minimum disruption to staff and patients.
- To work in accordance with the requirements of HTM’s, HBN’s, Model Specifications, relevant Statutory Regulations, Codes of Practice, Building Regulations, British Standards and Trust Policies.
