As part of our ambitious growth strategy, we are looking to appoint a Principal Building Services Engineer (Electrical) to be based in any one of our 13 UK offices. Joining a supportive network as part of a national team, you can expect to receive valuable training, guidance and genuine scope for career development.
You can expect to become involved in:
- Leading on the delivery of portfolios of work across both the private and public sector
- Liaising directly with Clients and Contractors
- Carrying out building analysis and provide system design calculations
Your core duties will include:
- Project and contract management
- Preparation and overseeing of designs, feasibility studies, reports, and contract documents
- Design team management
- Promote business development
- Supervise junior staff on a day to day basis
About You
This role will suit a Principal Building Services Engineer (Electrical) who has the desire and capabilities to develop their career within a people and client orientated construction and property consultancy. Our ideal Principal Building Services Engineer (Electrical) must have:
- HND/Degree or equivalent professional qualification
- Knowledge and understanding of BS7671
- Knowledge of H&S/CDM requirements and current legislation e.g., UK Building Regulations
- Familiarity with electrical and lighting design software’s such as Hevacomp/Amtech/Dialux
- Excellent communication skills, collaborative and self-motivated
It would be nice for you to have:
- Structured wiring system and security system design experience
- Knowledge of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements
- Resource planning and management experience
- Fire alarm and emergency lighting design experience
- Business development experience
