A new Insurer to the area is seeking to recruit a Senior Claims Handler. This team handles claims on behalf of Broker's Clients.
As a senior member of the Claims Team, you will deal with a caseload of more complex or contentious losses, or those pertaining to key clients. You will handle claims spanning Property, Motor, Liability, and Financial Lines losses. Clients are within the Corporate Division and generate fee income in excess of Β£75,000 per annum. Your expertise may occasionally be called upon to deal with commercial and mid-corporate clients suffering major losses.
You will lead the claims process, including actively managing relations with clients, insurers, and loss adjusters, and personally negotiate with insurers to achieve a favourable settlement. Investigate the circumstances of potential claims and scrutinise policy wordings to mitigate any chances of underinsurance or no cover. Ensure clients obtain maximum possible coverage under the terms of their insurance programme.
You will also support colleagues in reducing costly losses and future yearsβ premiums by analysing claims trends and producing reports to identify areas of concern.
