Job Description:
We are looking for a junior sous chef to join our small but busy Italian family-run restaurant in Oundle. The role will include:
- Fresh pasta making (making of the dough, rolling the dough out, and making a few different shapes).
- Pizza prep (making of the dough from scratch, rolling them out by hand, and cooking them).
- A small amount of traditional Italian dessert work.
- Preparation of fresh ingredients, cooking to order, general cleaning, and tidying of the kitchen.
The job is roughly 40-45 hours a week over 5 days covering daytime/evening and weekends with one full weekend off per month.
The candidate must be punctual, reliable, good at working in a team, and able to use their own initiative, willing to learn, and have a good eye for detail.
Experience is essential, although it does not have to be with Italian food.
Please note we are in Oundle, about 20 minutes outside of Peterborough, so own transport is essential.
