Oxford Active Ltd has been running successfully for over 20 years. To be a Lifeguard at one of our sites during the school holidays, you must have experience, hold a valid NPLQ and be 18+ years old. You’ll be working with children aged 4 – 14 years old, always ensuring the children’s safety, including during swim tests. It is vital you have a good understanding of safeguarding children as well as being able to communicate effectively. The Lifeguard hours are usually from 2pm – 5pm, but this may vary depending on the needs of the site. Active Camps runs from 8am – 6pm Monday – Friday (excluding bank holidays).
Your Duties
- Lifeguarding duties while children are using the pool facilities
- Conduct daily swim tests with all children before allowing them to swim
- Working as a team to provide safe, creative, structured, and appropriate play opportunities for children aged 4 – 14 years
- Follow our PSOPS
- With other staff, being responsible for keeping premises clean and tidy
- Working within all agreed policies and procedures
About You
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a current, valid NPLQ
- Must have previous experience working as a Lifeguard
- Ability to communicate at all levels, particularly with children
- Ability to work on own initiative but also as part of a team
- Willingness to undertake appropriate training and keep up to date with your Lifeguarding training
