Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant – Oldham Location: Oldham Position: Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant Contract: Full-Time, Temp to Perm Are you passionate about supporting the development and learning of young children? Do you thrive in a nurturing and dynamic classroom environment? We are seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school in Oldham. Key Responsibilities: Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons tailored to Key Stage 1 students. Provide 1:1 and small group support to help children meet learning targets. Assist with classroom management and help create a positive learning environment. Contribute to the planning and delivery of creative activities that enhance learning. Work with students with varying abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Support the social and emotional development of children, fostering confidence and self-esteem. Assist with setting up and tidying classroom materials and resources. Supervise children during playtimes, lunchtimes, and on educational outings.The Ideal Candidate: A genuine passion for working with young children in Key Stage 1. Previous experience in a classroom setting, preferably within Key Stage 1. A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children. Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff. SEN experience or willingness to support children with additional needs. A relevant teaching assistant qualification (Level 2 or above is desirable). Paediatric First Aid certification is an advantage.Why Join Us?
