Specialist Electronic Manufacturing Services Company is seeking to add a Surface Mount Technology Operative to their team to support the continued expansion of this established and successful company.
ROLE
- Operating machines e.g., soldering irons, wave guns, or pick and place machines to apply components to boards or other surfaces.
- Operating machines that dispense solder paste, which is melted and then applied to printed circuit boards by a computerized process.
- Observing manufacturing processes to ensure smooth and efficient running.
- Performing routine maintenance on production equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Performing quality control checks on products to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Inspecting parts for defects before and after the production process to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Installing and testing components e.g., transistors, resistors, capacitors, diodes, and other semiconductor devices into printed circuit boards (PCBs) or other electronic components.
- Installing and repairing equipment e.g., production machinery, robots, and other automated processes used in manufacturing.
REQUIRED
- Good standard of secondary education.
- Knowledge of electronics is advantageous; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Familiarity with electrostatic discharge (ESD) is advantageous.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Problem-solving skills.

REMUNERATION
