We are seeking a skilled Butcher to join our team in preparing high-quality meats for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and excellent knife skills.
Duties:
- Prepare meats for sale by cutting, trimming, boning, grinding, or slicing.
- Ensure all meats are handled and stored correctly to maintain freshness.
- Assist customers with selecting the right cuts of meat and provide cooking recommendations.
- Operate and maintain butchery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Keep work areas clean and sanitised according to food safety standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Butcher or similar role in a kitchen or restaurant setting.
- In-depth knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques.
- Understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers effectively.

Hours will cover – prep day. As part of a farm shop, you will be required to work both Saturday and Sunday. We can operate for a half day on a Sunday. This is a new position and is open for negotiation with hours for the right candidate as long as it suits the needs of the business.
