Climate Data Steering Committee Secretariat Associate – Fixed Term Contract Location: London Business Area: Marketing and Public Relations Ref #: 10041117 Description & Requirements About the Climate Data Steering Committee (CDSC) The CDSC was established in June 2022 by French President Emmanuel Macron and UN Special Envoy Michael Bloomberg to improve access to global climate transition data. It brings together leaders from various jurisdictions and international organizations to accelerate the development of high-quality climate data, supporting the allocation of capital to the net-zero transition. The CDSC has proposed a Net-Zero Data Public Utility (NZDPU), a global, open repository for climate transition data, to enhance standardization and accessibility of corporate climate disclosures. About the role We seek a proactive Secretariat Associate with relevant experience and a keen interest in supporting an international policymaking committee. You will assist the Secretariat Lead in governance, process management, and policy initiatives related to the CDSC and the NZDPU. The role requires understanding of climate data or related policies, strong organizational and communication skills, and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities Support governance, membership, and processes of the CDSC to ensure strategic delivery of climate data disclosures and NZDPU success. Coordinate the annual schedule of CDSC meetings, prepare and circulate materials, and record and communicate decisions effectively. Assist the Chair and leaders by preparing briefings for meetings, engagements, and policy issues. Maintain knowledge of policy and technical issues in climate data and disclosures, and communicate insights to the team. Build relationships across institutions and jurisdictions to support the CDSC’s work and partnerships. Expectations 1-3 years’ experience in climate data, finance, or related policy, with a strong desire to deepen understanding. Willingness to learn about governance structures and stakeholder engagement norms. Strong analytical, research, and briefing skills. Excellent organizational skills for managing projects and timelines. Effective written and verbal communication skills for policy discussions.
