Locum Commercial Solicitor (Charity & Company Law) – Midlands Council – Up to £55 per hour (Umbrella) – Remote/Hybrid

Venn Group’s specialist legal team is recruiting for a Locum Commercial Solicitor with expertise in charity and company law to join a well-regarded Midlands Local Authority. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the Council’s commercial projects, governance structures, and charitable partnerships, with the flexibility of remote working.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing expert legal advice on charity law, including governance, regulatory compliance, and structuring charitable entities.
- Advising on company law matters, including setting up and managing local authority trading companies and joint ventures.
- Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, contracts, and funding arrangements.
- Ensuring compliance with local government and public sector legal frameworks.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including council officers, charities, and external legal advisors.
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with strong experience in charity and company law.
- Local government experience is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
