We are in search of a dedicated Medical Information (MI) officer with several years of experience to join our small, committed team on a part-time basis (2-4 days per week). This role presents various chances to contribute to our goal of improving patient outcomes. Key responsibilities Serve as the local expert in this practice area, bridging clinical practice and service development. Lead and develop the Medicines Information pharmacy team to provide expert medicines advice, supporting healthcare professionals in optimizing patient medications and helping patients make informed decisions about their treatments. Utilizes advanced clinical and Medicines Information (MI) expertise to identify, critically evaluate, and synthesize clinical evidence, ensuring patients achieve desired outcomes from their medications. Takes the lead in conducting, supervising, and publishing research pertaining to Medicines Information. Develops a personal research program aligned with organizational and pharmacy strategies. Establishes and nurtures connections with higher education institutions to support undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students as needed. Qualifications Minimum 8 years of experience in MI. Degree educated (Life Science degree preferred) In depth knowledge of UK MI guidelines for handling MI enquiries, to meet compliance standards. Proficient with Microsoft applications. Good communication skills to ensure effective dialogue with NHS stakeholders and members of the public.
