An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Manager to join a growing organisation. This role is critical in ensuring the operational readiness and technical excellence of a fleet of Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs), supporting safe and efficient operations in challenging marine environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the technical management of vessels, including maintenance, defect resolution, and compliance with statutory regulations
- Lead and support a team of shore-based engineers and technical staff
- Liaise with Flag Administrations, Class Societies, and external contractors
- Conduct vessel visits, audits, and shipyard inspections
- Manage PMS systems, spare parts inventory, and technical budgets
- Support new build projects and monitor green propulsion initiatives
- Participate in emergency response and technical investigations
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Degree or diploma in Marine or Mechanical Engineering (or working towards one)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in technical ship management or marine engineering
- Strong understanding of marine systems and regulatory compliance (ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience with Caterpillar engines and PMS systems preferred
- NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification desirable
