The Role

  • Working with the account management team, you will support documentation relating to the export and import of goods – liaising with colleagues, resolving issues, and escalating as appropriate.
  • You will work with multiple internal functions and shipping lines to coordinate customs compliance, process clearance documentation, and ensure the accurate registration of customs formalities in both internal and external supplier systems in the UK and EU.

Successful candidates

  • Will have strong organisational skills, be excellent communicators, and be eager to understand all aspects of our business.
  • Are responsible for processing customs documentation, ensuring all shipping lines and port-based systems are accurate to enable customs compliance.
  • Will cross-check the validity and accuracy of documentation, resolving queries, and ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
  • Will liaise with Account Managers to ensure they are provided with correct and up-to-date information on customs procedures.
  • Will take responsibility for the documentation relating to the export and import of goods worldwide - processing clearance documentation.
  • Will advise on the documentation necessary for direct import/export and transit movements.
  • Will strive for continuous improvement and proactively streamline internal processes to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Will engage in CPD activity to develop knowledge on customs processes.
