Job Description: Due to business growth and new projects, we are seeking a senior hardware engineer to join our team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading avionics product development across digital, analog, and power electronics.
- Overseeing the entire product development lifecycle from conceptual design to system integration.
- Designing and developing electronic circuits and systems that meet performance, reliability, and cost targets.
- Integrating electronic components and systems into larger products.
- Managing project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
- Mentoring junior engineers and guiding project teams.
- Ensuring designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a qualification in hardware, electronics, or electronic systems engineering. Experience in defense, avionics, aerospace, or naval systems is preferred but not essential. You should also possess:
- A solid understanding of electronics engineering challenges.
- Knowledge of the development lifecycle from requirements to production, including design, schematic capture, analysis, commissioning, and integration.
Professional registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng or equivalent) is desirable but not mandatory. We support employees in attaining CEng status and offer further study assistance for degrees or masterβs qualifications.
Additional Information: Starting salary will depend on experience. We have positions for Senior Hardware Engineer and Principal Hardware Engineer. This role offers flexible working options, including working from home and in-office presence (minimum 3 days per week), or fully in-office in St Leonards-on-Sea. Relocation assistance may be available for eligible UK-based applicants. We offer an attractive benefits package, including:
