Mechanical Maintenance / Calibration Technician (Torque Tooling / Air Tools) required for a permanent position in the Chester / Deeside area. Competitive salary (DoE) + excellent benefits, see below. The Air Tool Calibration Technician will be working circa 39 hours (Initially Mon – Fri days then likely to move to rotating double days shift pattern i.e.6-2/2-10 with shift allowance paid). Applications also welcomed from candidates who have completed a mechanical engineering apprenticeship or recently qualified or completed relevant engineering / maintenance qualifications, Trainees or Repair / Service Technicians, Mobile Engineer, Hire Service Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, Mechanic, Vehicle Technician or similar who have used, maintained or even calibrated air / pneumatic tools, torque tooling, hand tools or service / hire equipment. Maintaining relevant records of work, data and results in a traceable and auditable manner utilizing our customers tooling management systems. Day to day duties of the successful Mechanical Maintenance / Calibration Technician (Torque / Airtools) include: * Safe and effective use, maintenance, calibration and repair of air tools used to build aircraft in in the aerospace industry. * You will be responsible for the preparation and provision of test specifications. * Handling technical enquiries and liaising with clients where necessary. * Receiving and registering any work as necessary. * Completing test schedules & technical reports to effect optimum efficiency of the calibration area. * Maintain relevant records and data. * To follow company H&S guidelines To be suitable for this Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Torque / Pneumatic Tooling) role you must have the following experience / characteristics: * Prior experience of maintaining air / pneumatic, torque or hand tools or hire / service equipment. * Recent mechanical maintenance / mechanical fitting experience. * Good communication skills. * Good PC literacy. The ideal Mechanical Maintenance / Calibration Technician (Torque / Airtools) will have the following skills / experience: * Completed a relevant mechanical engineering apprenticeship. * Relevant mechanical / maintenance qualification such as C&G / NVQ / BTEC Level 3, HNC, HND etc. * Experience of repairing / maintaining electric / cordless hand tools, service / hire equipment etc. * Recently or currently repairing / maintaining air tools such as Avdel Bottle, Cherrymax Bottle, Huck Puller / Swager, Nut Runner, Pin Gun, Pulse Gun, Torque Screw Driver, Torque Wrench, Torque Wrench Adjustable used to build aircraft in in the aerospace or automotive industry. * Experience of hand vibration testing equipment. * Inspection or Calibration experience. * Aerospace or Automotive experience * Full UK driving licence.
