We are working with a well-respected engineering company in Atherton who manufacture medium to heavy engineered components. Due to continued growth and an expanding order book, they are recruiting for CNC Vertical Borer on day shifts and back shifts.
The Job:
- Program, set and operate large capacity CNC lathes/vertical borers over 2.5 metre swing and up to 10 tonnes components
- Write new programs from technical drawings and edit existing programs
- Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings
- Selecting appropriate tooling and machining strategies for efficient production
About you:
- Engineering NVQ Level 3 or formal apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
- Proven experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
- Confident with Fanuc programming and operation of large-capacity CNC lathes/Vertical borers
- Ability to work from technical drawings and meet tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
