Placed has partnered with an iconic, prestigious watch brand on an exciting new opportunity. I am hiring a Flagship Boutique Manager to drive continuous growth of the boutique's performance and results. The Boutique Director plays a key role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through high-level CRM and client development strategies. The Boutique Director is expected to act as an entrepreneur and will take a proactive and strategic approach towards their responsibilities and duties. Thanks to strong technical, interpersonal and managerial skills and an entrepreneurial mindset, the Boutique Director is accountable for meeting sales objectives, building long-lasting and loyal client relationships and assembling and leading a top-notch boutique team.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Exceed boutique budgets in accordance with brand retail strategy.
  • Plan and implement monthly meetings and actions.
  • Achieve Boutique KPIs defined by the management.
  • Assist management in proactively implementing boutique commission schemes.
  • Adhere to HQ commercial guidelines (Retail Manual) and be accountable for their implementation.
  • Maximise profit by controlling & minimising costs.
  • Regularly analyse and question sales figures with management to further refine future sales projections and ensure maximum market satisfaction.
  • Lead the Boutique team by explicitly communicating objectives, responsibilities, results, brand standards and procedures.
  • Assign tasks, track and communicate.
  • Transfer and maintain the sense of belonging and pride in working for the brand.
  • Organise team activities and cultivate team spirit.
  • Ensure coaching of each boutique team member and collective objectives, via team meetings, on-the-job training, appraisals, anticipation of training needs, task distribution, and feedback on expectations.
  • Act as the face of the Boutique and serve as Brand Ambassador both within and outside the Boutique.
  • Build Brand and Boutique awareness and equity.
  • Demonstrate brand ambassadorial skills, at any given time, with partners or local dignitaries.
  • Actively ensure accuracy of monthly, quarterly and yearly stocktaking and quality control.
  • Actively ensure all measures to avoid stock discrepancies at all times.
  • Compliance with procedures and with legal, fiscal and customs regulations.
  • Ensure timely reporting of sales (daily, monthly) to the Regional and Retail Director.
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses in existing operations to define action plans for implementation.
  • Generate interest in target prospects and convert them into boutique customers.
  • Develop targeted programs to attract new high-potential customers and establish a sustainable client network in the London and UK regions.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with clients.
  • Ensure special attention to existing and new VIP customers to maintain their loyalty.
  • Identify opportunities and propose a clienteling strategy using iCM.
  • Obtain, input, update client information and track clienteling tasks of Sales Associates.
  • Take part in client events, such as manufacturer visits, with a clear strategy in place involving sales, CRM, and prospecting objectives.
  • Individually handle with care client complaints and immediately report to the regional office any boutique, brand, or product-related issues.
  • Follow up and coordinate individual repairs and customer service-related matters.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in luxury retail management and boutique operations with direct reports; Watches experience will be advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills.
  • Strong local network of clients and excellent in client management.
  • Results-driven.
  • Fluency in written and verbal English; other languages are beneficial.

The renumeration is £110K-£120K (basic) plus a bonus of 15%-20%, making the total cash up to £150K-£175K.
