The WeighingUp Technician reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and is responsible for all business Weighing up requirements.
Responsibilities
- Weighing Up ingredients as required by Bakery and Savoury department into Batch sizes.
- Decanting ingredients or packaging into appropriate containers.
- Replenishing stock / Hoppers.
- Ensure actions are carried out as planned and completed within agreed timescales.
- Completing and maintaining all traceability records.
- Maintain Weighing Up Room standards.
- Fully comply with Hygiene and Food Safety compliance standards.
Shifts
The role is 45 hours per week, various day shift patterns available, starting at 4.30am/5am. The role will require working 1 in 4 Saturdays to support our 7-day operation, plus flexible working to cover for staff holidays, sickness, and busy periods.
Experience
- Ability to carry out tasks to a high level of detail.
- Good mathematical skills.
- Effective time-management skills to achieve production targets within set timeframe.
- Works well under pressure.
- A basic understanding of the manufacturing process & ingredients.
- Ability to communicate and influence with all levels of the business.
- Good Oral Communication Skills.
Qualifications
A good standard of maths.
4 weeks holiday per year increasing incrementally each year to 5 weeks holiday per year (after 5 years continuous service) plus bank holidays. Staff discount.
