The Opportunity

Daren Persson Funeral Services – North Shields is currently looking for a casual Funeral Service Operative. The hours are varied, providing the opportunity to fit the role around your other commitments.

Calm and professional, our Funeral Operatives play a vital role in our service and are often the first members of the team to meet our families. A good Funeral Service Operative will provide reassurance to families that we will take good care of their loved ones while we prepare them for their final journey.

In addition to bringing people\’s loved ones into our care, Funeral Service Operatives work in the mortuary, fitting coffins, dressing the deceased, participating in funeral services, pallbearing, and helping to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Your duties will include driving company vehicles, so you\’ll need a full driving licence. You\’ll also have a place on the out of hours and on-call rota, providing an opportunity to earn additional payments.
