Job Description

Purpose of the job

To support the Team Leader in the daily operations within the copper department to ensure the on-time delivery of parts to our internal customers.

Key Accountabilities

1. Maintain a safe and tidy working environment
2. Work to company Health & Safety policy/procedures
3. Meet agreed delivery targets
4. Support overall factory scheduling needs.
5. Bring known problems to the Team Leader\’s attention
6. Encourage suggestions for business improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Operate CNC Copper punch and bending machines (after training given)
2. Work in all aspects of the copper area
3. Identify different tasks and job No’s so they can be kept separate
4. Operate the ERP system (after training given)
5. Select correct stock when required
6. Maintain effective stock control at all times
7. Complete weekly maintenance checklist for machines
8. Take part in stock-taking activities

Employment & Educational Background

1. The ideal candidate would have some knowledge of CNC machines but not essential
2. Familiarity with an ERP system and computers would be an advantage.
3. The ability to demonstrate energy, drive, commitment, and dedication to achieving both own and company success.
4. Proactive in approach, resilient under pressure, ability to maintain clarity and vision, and possesses a strong results orientation.
