TPF Recruitment, a leading recruitment agency, is excited to represent various clients across Sussex and Surrey who are seeking motivated graduates to join their teams as Graduate Trainee Accountants in 2024. This is an excellent opportunity for 2024 graduates eager to kickstart their career in Accounting by working with a team of chartered accountants within a practice setting while pursuing their ACCA/ACA qualification.
Responsibilities:
- Audit Responsibilities: Assisting in the planning and execution of financial audits, conducting substantive testing and analytical review procedures, verifying the accuracy and completeness of financial statements, collaborating with audit teams to ensure compliance with auditing standards, preparing audit documentation and work papers.
- Accounts Responsibilities: Preparing financial statements for clients, including income statements and balance sheets, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, performing bank reconciliation and ensuring the accuracy of financial records, assisting in the preparation of management accounts, handling general ledger entries and maintaining financial records.
- Tax Responsibilities: Supporting the preparation and filing of tax returns for individuals and businesses, assisting in tax planning and compliance activities, researching tax regulations and staying updated on changes in tax laws, responding to client queries regarding tax matters, collaborating with the tax team to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
- Client Interaction: Building and maintaining relationships with clients, communicating with clients to gather necessary financial information, guiding accounting and tax-related matters, responding to client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Compliance: Ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements, monitoring changes in accounting and auditing standards, supporting the implementation of new accounting and tax regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Working collaboratively with other members of the practice, participating in team meetings and contributing to discussions, supporting team members in completing tasks and meeting deadlines.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a 2:1 degree classification in a finance-related discipline (Accounting & Finance, Mathematics, Finance, and Economics).
- Strong A Level results.
- A minimum of 5 C's at GCSE.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and thrive in a dynamic work environment.

Benefits:
These positions offer a competitive salary ranging from £21,000 to £24,000, subject to the employer and the candidate's experience. All opportunities come with study support for ACCA/ACA qualifications.
