Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in a respected Engineering and Manufacturing Company? We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our clients dedicated team and contribute to maintaining and improving their diverse range of engineering machinery.

About the Role:

This hands-on role involves:

  • Working with various engineering machinery.
  • Managing breakdowns and following monthly maintenance schedules.
  • Utilising both mechanical and electrical skills (mechanical bias required).
  • Collaborating within a team either in our main production area or occasionally on a client’s site.

You’ll play a vital role in ensuring machinery is running smoothly while adhering to health and safety standards, maintaining production efficiency, and upholding discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair machinery including Machine Shop Mills, Lathes, Drills, and Sheet-Metal & Fabricating machines.
  • Assemble and fit new equipment as required.
  • Carry out electrical works across the site.
  • Perform plumbing tasks and general site maintenance.
  • Respond to machinery breakdowns swiftly and effectively.
  • Ensure quality engineering practices in all tasks.
  • Uphold safety, hygiene, and attendance standards.

Working Hours

Mon: 7.30am - 4pm
Tues: 7.30am - 4.30pm
Weds & Thurs: 7.30am - 5pm
Fri: 7.30am - 12pm

Contracted Hours: 39 hours/week

Breaks: 10am - 10.10 am (10-minute morning break) & 1pm – 1.30pm (30-minute lunch break)

Overtime is generally available and is paid at 1.5x the hourly rate Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings. A reasonable amount of overtime is expected as per Supervisor/Manager requests.
