Connaught Education is proudly partnered with a successful and historic independent preparatory school in East Sussex, which has been in existence for 100 years to appoint a Head of Science and Innovation on a permanent basis from September 2025.
In recent years a senior school has been established near the original preparatory school site and is a continuation of the school's success, allowing pupils to complete the entirety of their education at the school. The school is set in 125 acres of land; it is a uniquely picturesque setting steeped in history. The school operates a proudly non-selective policy, allowing pupils of all starting points to grow within their nurturing and innovative environment.
The appointed Head of Science and Innovation will be an accomplished Science Teacher with demonstrable experience of teaching KS2 and 3 and the ability to shape curriculum across the preparatory school. The department incorporates Design Technology and Digital Literacy, but the appointed Head of Department will not need specialisms in this area.
The role offers a competitive salary bracket, pension contributions, fee remission for children of staff, free parking, free meals during term time, and outstanding professional development opportunities.
After many years of being a proprietor owned school, the transition has been made to becoming a member of an international group of private schools, bringing funding, innovation and networking opportunities for both staff and pupils.
