FINTEC recruit is recruiting for our marine client based in Tyneside for a Marine Support Manager. This is a permanent role with a salary of up to £53,000 plus benefits. Working on site Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Fridays. There will be some travel in this role - a minimum of six visits per year to assigned vessels for monitoring and evaluating maintenance performance ensuring standards are maintained on vessels.
Responsibilities:
- Technical support to Operations and Vessel Managers
- Ensuring vessels are maintained and operational in compliance with Class, Flag State and regulatory marine requirements
- Assist with maintenance, dry dock planning, and execution across the fleet
- Drive continuous improvement and best practice sharing in maintenance and dry docking
- Be the technical authority on repair specifications and docking scope reviews
- Day-to-day management of sub-contractors
- Collaboration with internal teams & with HSE team on system and policy implementation
Skills and Experience required for the Marine Support Manager:
- Class 1 CoC (Engineering) or relevant supervisory seagoing experience (Royal Navy Marine Engineer CPO/WO) or experience as a Technical Superintendent
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
