This is a very exciting time to join the marketing team at King's College, Taunton. We have an ambitious new strategy and bold new plans to step-change how we engage with our existing and new audiences. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role will support the development and delivery of our marketing and communications strategy to meet our targets for admissions recruitment and retention, and support and amplify our brand and mission.

We are looking for a commercially minded, creative professional to work within the marketing team. You’ll bring your artistic flair and strategic thinking to the table, creating stunning visual designs that help elevate our brand and drive engagement. This is an amazing opportunity to make an impact with high-quality, creative designs that reach a wide audience on a global scale. Direct experience of the education sector is not essential, but you must demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of the opportunities and challenges it presents from a design and marketing point of view.

The Role

  • Responsible to: Director of Marketing
  • Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week – Monday-Friday, Full-time, permanent, 1 hour for lunch
  • Salary: £26,000 per annum

Function: As the school’s Graphic Designer working within the marketing team, you’ll bring your artistic flair and strategic thinking to the table, creating stunning visual designs that help elevate our brand and drive engagement.

Job Description:

  • Designing and delivering impactful creative designs across digital and print media
  • Taking briefs and using your own initiative to turn creative assets into eye-catching brochures, flyers, posters, and digital assets that demand attention
  • Maintaining our brand’s visual identity, ensuring all marketing materials reflect our brand and adhere to guidelines
  • Managing multiple creative projects simultaneously to a high standard
  • Creative problem solving
  • Creating new templates according to briefs and feedback, utilising brand guidelines
  • Ensuring graphics, photography and layouts are visually appealing
  • Contributing to brainstorming and idea generation sessions with the wider marketing team
  • Capturing school life to feature in your designs; photography skills are a nice to have
