About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in inspiring a love of food and cooking within a dedicated team. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating Food Technology lessons across the curriculum equipping students with essential culinary skills and promoting healthy eating habits. Key Responsibilities: Plan deliver and evaluate engaging Food Technology lessons for Key Stage 3 (Years 78) and potentially Key Stage 4 (Years 911) in line with the National Curriculum. Foster a creative and practical learning environment in the kitchen encouraging students to explore diverse culinary techniques and cuisines. Develop and implement innovative curriculum initiatives that align with the schools vision and the latest advancements in food education. Ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment adhering to all health and safety regulations. Build positive and supportive relationships with students promoting teamwork and fostering a love of learning in the kitchen. Play an active role in the department including contributing to curriculum development assessment strategies and departmental meetings. Participate in wholeschool events and initiatives fostering a collaborative spirit and contributing to the wider school community. The Ideal Candidate: A qualified Food Technology Teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging students and developing their culinary skills. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for food cooking and promoting healthy eating habits. Strong pedagogical skills with the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles. A commitment to high standards and the ability to create a positive stimulating and safe learning environment in the kitchen. Excellent communication interpersonal and collaboration skills. A willingness to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the ongoing development of the department.
