Teaching Assistant - The Priory CE VA Primary School

Applications from recent graduates or sixth formers are welcome.

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a fixed-term contract for 30 hours per week, starting on 1st September 2025. The post is Monday to Friday, term time only.

The primary responsibility will be to provide class-based learning support for children in KS1 or KS2. There may also be a significant element of supporting children with additional needs. Please note that supervising children at lunchtime is also a key requirement of the role.

This is an exciting opportunity for graduates or school leavers who are considering entering the teaching profession and wish to gain experience before applying to initial teacher training providers.

You must have a genuine interest in working with children and entering the education profession. You will need to have lots of energy, resilience, be keen to learn, and willing to try new things. We would welcome any specialist skills such as music, art, drama, dance, or sport, as we will work with you to ensure you have the opportunity to develop these skills with our children.
