Nursery Assistant

Job Description

Playdays Day Nursery is based on site at The James Cook University Hospital and is registered by OFSTED to cater for 86 children a day, from 6 weeks until school age. The nursery operates Monday to Friday, 52 weeks a year.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing a caring and stimulating environment for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
• Ensuring the health and well-being of children in our care.
• Monitoring and recording children\’s development and sharing information with professionals.

Main Duties

• Adhering to OFSTED Standards and Regulations.
• Ensuring compliance with child protection procedures.
• Following Trust and Nursery Policies and Procedures.
• Maintaining health and safety, including risk assessments.
• Leading in delivering quality care and education.

Qualifications

• NNEB / BTEC / NVQ 3 in Early Years Care and Education or equivalent.
• GCSE English grade C or equivalent.

Knowledge

• Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Safeguarding responsibilities and processes.
