About the role
The IT Environment Management Engineer is responsible for assisting with the design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of IT environments to support business-critical applications and services. This role ensures the stability, scalability, and security of Kerv’s systems and environments by evaluating and implementing remediation actions and improvements highlighted in ISO and client audit reports.
Your Part to Play
- Compliance: Ensure IT environments comply with management and security standards, particularly ISO 14001, 22301, 27001, 27701, and SOC2 type 2, by implementing and maintaining environmental management systems.
- Audit Remediation: Address and remediate findings from client audits related to device management and environment security.
- Application Management: Oversee deployment, configuration, and management of applications within IT environments. Ensure seamless integration and optimal functionality. Provide technical support and troubleshooting.
- User Management: Manage user access and permissions, maintaining security protocols.
- License Management: Track and manage software licenses, ensuring compliance and optimizing usage to reduce costs.
- Design and Implementation: Collaborate with teams to design and implement robust IT environments that meet business needs.
- Maintenance and Monitoring: Ensure ongoing maintenance and monitoring for performance and availability.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancement and implement changes for efficiency.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures to protect environments from threats.
- Scalability Planning: Plan strategies to ensure environments can scale with business growth.
- Incident Management: Respond to and resolve incidents, minimizing downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
All About You
- Proven experience in IT environment management, including design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Must Have: Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, M365, Defender, Sentinel, Dataverse.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and security principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Nice to Have: ServiceNow, Atlassian, Adobe, Continia, Lucid, Monday, BitWarden.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms and hosted application management.
- Knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages.
- Understanding of ITIL, change management, and service delivery best practices.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
