Our client is seeking an experienced Marine & Helicopter Coordinator to support offshore operations during the construction of an Offshore Wind Farm (OWF). This role is essential to enabling safe offshore activities, including emergency response, traffic coordination, and personnel tracking. The position may include weekend work and ad-hoc shifts based on project demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate emergency responses offshore, acting as the primary contact for internal teams and external agencies.
- Manage vessel and helicopter traffic control in accordance with established protocols.
- Track people, vessels, and communications to ensure operational safety.
- Enforce WTG access restrictions.
- Optimize daily vessel allocations and adapt to unforeseen schedule changes.
- Operate the offshore management system ensuring personnel certification and asset status are up to date.
- Liaise with local stakeholders as needed.
- Provide and interpret weather and marine operations data for the project and vessel masters.
- Manage day-to-day relations with weather and observation system providers.
- Ensure statutory reporting is completed (pollution, lighting, drifting buoys, vessel infringements, etc.).
- Support HSE documentation, helicopter operators, and marine inspections.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Over 2 years of experience in Marine Coordination.
- Strong background in emergency response for offshore operations.
- Competence in using Supplier Databases for Offshore Operations.
- Proficient in Radio Communications and computer systems.
- Familiar with Maritime Certification and offshore personnel tracking.
- Experienced in managing marine and airspace traffic in OWF environments.
- Able to monitor weather and marine operations effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills; team player capable of working under pressure.
- Flexibility to provide cover for project requirements outside of standard working periods.
