Sign Maker - Exeter

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Sign Maker to join our dynamic team at Signs Express (Exeter) (recently rebranded from KBS Signs) as we enter our next phase of business growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in the signage industry who is looking to work on a variety of exciting projects.

• Working Hours: Full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Duties Include:

• Manufacture of a wide range of signs including internal and external signage, vehicle graphics, window graphics, exhibition displays, and bespoke fabricated signs.
• Sign making, working with a wide range of substrates including Dibond, acrylics, metals, wood, vinyl and Foamex, to a consistently high standard.
• Operate and maintain sign-making equipment such as vinyl plotters, large format printers, laminators, and CNC routers.
• Application of vinyl graphics and digital prints to various substrates including vehicles, panels, and windows.
• Support with installing all types of internal and external signage, including fascia and post mounted signs.
• Interpreting briefs accurately with a great understanding of different signage and manufacturing techniques.
• Taking responsibility for your own and others’ health and safety when working.
• Ensuring Risk Assessments and Method Statements are understood and followed.
• Providing outstanding customer service to our clients and others at all times.

What we would like from you:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar sign making role.
• Proven experience with vinyl application and vehicle graphics.
• Strong working knowledge of sign making equipment and materials.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices, including working at height and use of access equipment.
• Experience with CNC routing and fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• IPAF, PASMA or CSCS certification is desirable.
• Design software knowledge (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, FlexiSign, CorelDRAW) is desirable but not essential.
