Associate Workplace Interior Designer required for a lively studio in South West London. A highly respected workplace design practice is hiring an Associate Interior Designer to join their growing large team. With their Head Office in South West London, they offer an incredibly welcoming team and a huge support network to further your skills and career!

They seek someone who can present highly creative ideas to top-level clients. Your skills should include pitch experience as well as managing a small team within a larger practice. You should come from a role with exceptional bid and project-winning experience, including putting together pitches and proposals, and working with clients across various sectors. Experience in commercial workplace or D&B sectors is ideal. It's a busy office, so no day will be the same, and full attendance is expected. You must have experience managing large-scale budgets and junior team members.

This role will involve the following responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver the design process from conception to completion with organization and attention to detail.
  • Manage people and resources effectively, working with your team to meet deadlines on time and within budget.
  • Communicate and demonstrate the design ethos and vision throughout the project.
  • Produce AutoCAD drawings at all project stages and demonstrate technical competency.
  • Build productive client relationships and understand client needs.
  • Lead the production of reports and detailed technical packages.
  • Understand industry processes and protocols.
  • Prepare budgets and ensure quality standards for each project.
  • Develop detailed knowledge of interior trends and suppliers.
  • Participate in industry events and product launches.
  • Handle activities related to project management, including design programming, resourcing, and change control.
  • Review work provided by Junior and Mid-level Interior Designers.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

  • A degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • Significant experience in the Workplace sector, ideally from a D&B background.
  • High proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit.
  • Excellent computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite.
  • Strong presentation skills, both verbal and visual, using software and hand drawing.
  • Experience working directly with clients, contractors, and design teams.
  • Experience managing projects from inception to construction.
  • Experience coordinating with M&E and other consultants.
