An opportunity has arisen to join the P&O Ferries team in Hull, working as a Port Operative (Customer Operations Agent - Quay) responsible for supporting the leadership team in delivering cost effective port operations service to all customers, in a safe and compliant manner.
Working to a fixed shift pattern, the role will support the discharge and loading of our vessels, working in co-operation with other members of the Port and Ship team, ensure maximum efficiency and capacity, ensuring the vessel is moored safely while in Port, and that it leaves on time every time.
The successful candidate will have:
- a full clean driving licence
- preferably a HGV Class 1 though not essential
- experience in using a variety of equipment including reach stackers, forklift trucks, and RoRo tractor units
- excellent communication and customer service skills
- ideally experience of working in a similar environment
- the flexibility to work at all times of day and outside
The ideal candidate will have:

- willingness to work outside in all weather conditions

Location – Hull, this role operates on a shift basis working 40 hours per week, which includes public holidays. So flexibility is key.
