We are seeking an experienced part time housekeeper with traditional values and an excellent eye for detail to care for and maintain our five bedroom detached property in rural Northamptonshire. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, enthusiastic, reliable, and trustworthy. An ability to work under own initiative is essential and when required to be the sole keeper of the property. This is a ‘live out’ position therefore the preferred individual would need to be based locally.
The housekeeping role would include but not be limited to:
- Cleaning - general cleanliness of all living areas including a small workout room.
- Flowers - purchasing and arranging indoor flowers.
- Laundry - weekly bedding, towels, napkins, business shirts and gym wear.
- Ironing - Crisp and sharp business shirts, bedding plus all general items as required.
- Windows - maintaining the cleanliness of the interior and exterior.
- Outside furniture - maintaining the cleanliness of seating, loungers, dining table and outdoor areas.
- Dry cleaning – Drop off and collection as required.
- Household shopping – all cleaning products, kitchen rolls, toilet rolls etc.
- Grocery shopping - Fresh produce, stock cupboard items, soft drinks etc.
- Contractors - Overseeing gardeners, electricians, decorators, pest control plus any other tradesperson on site.
- Weekends - occasional visits to ensure property security.
Holidays - 20 day entitlement per annum. Credit Card - Will be provided for household purchases. Hours - To fit the position. Salary - A three month probationary period at an agreed starting salary. Thereafter rising to a mutually agreeable salary, which will be based upon experience.
