Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee construction and refurbishment projects within the office to residential conversion sector. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of complex construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality outcomes while adhering to strict timelines and budgets.
Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all work is carried out to high standards, within budget, and on schedule
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders
  • Oversee the procurement process, including tendering, contract negotiation, and contractor selection, and manage all aspects of construction contracts
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery
  • Monitor and report on project progress, performance, and risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle

Day-to-day

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Providing leadership and mentorship to project team members
  • Conducting regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and address any issues
  • Attending meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to provide project updates and address any concerns
  • Utilizing project management tools to track project performance and make data-driven decisions
  • Keeping abreast of industry developments and best practices to continuously improve project management processes and outcomes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor\’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager within the construction industry, with a focus on office to residential conversion projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction project management processes, methodologies, and best practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Relevant industry certifications, such as PMP or PRINCE2, are a plus
