London South Bank University is excited to be recruiting for the position of Exam Coordinator within our Student Operations Department. This department engages in various academic collaborative activities at multiple levels and stages. The team adopts a strategic, proactive, user-focused, and fully integrated approach to student operations. It provides central support for students throughout their time at the university, from admission to graduation, and manages a range of operations and systems critical to the Registrar’s Department.
This position offers the opportunity to lead and manage the university’s exam arrangements during main and resit exam periods, including recruiting, training, and allocating invigilators, in collaboration with LSBU Employment. The postholder will serve as the primary contact for exams at LSBU for staff and students, working with stakeholders to ensure smooth exam operations, whether in person or online.
You will facilitate communication between stakeholders, often handling sensitive and confidential matters in a high-pressure environment, providing accurate information regarding marks preparation and delivery.
You will oversee the Exam Supervisor, including their recruitment, induction, appraisals, mentoring, training, workload allocation, and annual leave approval.
About You:
We seek candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Extensive experience leading and motivating a team in an educational setting, with a focus on excellent customer service.
- Experience in developing and reviewing university policies, procedures, regulations, and processes, with a strong adherence to them.
- Experience in implementing reporting requirements, using data for decision-making, and collaborating with service providers to identify trends and suggest improvements.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize workload proactively and flexibly, approaching challenges creatively and independently.
The ideal candidate will be degree-educated, highly motivated, and skilled at building strong relationships with stakeholders such as Schools, Professional Service Departments, and students.
