In 2014, we invested significantly in acquiring a larger warehousing facility in Ossett, West Yorkshire. Our new site spans nearly 80,000 SQ FT, featuring extensive warehousing for our wide range of products. We stock and distribute over 200 bedding, packaging, and upholstery-related products, including mattress components, divan components, headboard components, upholstery fabrics, mattress covers, and high-quality, cost-effective packaging solutions such as mattress bags, corner protectors, tapes, and boxes. Additionally, we operate our own fleet of vehicles to meet delivery expectations and production schedules. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management within the furniture or bedding industry, a deep understanding of customer needs, and the ability to lead a sales team to achieve company goals. As the National Sales Manager, you will develop sales strategies, manage the sales team, and expand our market presence within the B2B segment.
Key Responsibilities:- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase market share, maximize sales growth, and meet revenue targets for bed products, including mattresses, frames, and adjustable beds.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team through training and performance evaluations, fostering a results-driven environment.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients such as wholesalers, retailers, hotels, resorts, and direct consumers.
- New Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in existing and untapped markets, working with local and national accounts.
- Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and prepare reports for senior management to inform strategic decisions.
- Market Research & Competitor Analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor products, and customer preferences to refine offerings and identify market gaps.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Coordinate with production, inventory, and marketing teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and effective promotional activities.
- Sales Presentations & Negotiations: Conduct meetings, deliver product presentations, and negotiate contracts with clients to meet sales targets and margins.
- Customer Feedback & Product Improvement: Gather customer feedback to identify improvement areas and work with product development teams.
- Budget & Sales Targets: Manage sales budgets, allocate resources effectively, and ensure achievement of sales goals and KPIs.
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager or similar role, preferably in the bedding or furniture industry.
- Strong knowledge of bedding products, including mattresses, bed frames, and accessories.
- Successful track record in sales management with consistent target achievement.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze market data and trends.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and sales tools.
- Ability to develop and execute sales plans, set goals, and drive performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
