Are you an experienced Platform Engineer with a passion for Data & AI? We’re working with a leading consultancy seeking a talented professional to help build and optimise data platforms using Databricks. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable infrastructure that powers high-impact analytics and machine learning solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer and maintain modern data platforms with a strong focus on Databricks, including Delta Lake, Apache Spark, and MLflow
- Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and cloud integrations (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP beneficial)
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure platform scalability, performance, and security
- Champion best practices in platform reliability, monitoring, and cost-efficiency
- Contribute to platform automation, DevOps tooling, and environment management for development through to production
Skills & Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure, with a focus on data platforms
- Advanced hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and Python
- Proficient with Azure services (Data Factory, Storage, DevOps) and experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM)
- Experience supporting data pipelines, machine learning workflows, and real-time data processing
- Knowledge of cloud security, networking, and governance frameworks for enterprise environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams
