Apprentice Bricklayer

Vision Building Services Limited was established to achieve a total solution, one stop building company that offers a complete in-house service for both Domestic and Commercial clients with a strong emphasis on customer care, quality and price. We have long-standing relationships across the Tees Valley area with local authorities such as Thirteen Group, Tristar Homes and Housing Hartlepool. Led by a team of experienced trade professionals, we work collaboratively with our customers, clients, and supply chain to find the most efficient way to deliver outstanding projects. We employ over 50 members of staff from Site Managers to Plasterers and Plumbers to Electricians and Administrators.

Opportunity for a full-time position at the end of the apprenticeship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analysing and interpreting building plans.
• Interpreting work orders and determining the materials required.
• Measuring distance from reference points.
• Calculating angles and determining the vertical and horizontal alignment of courses.
• Laying bricks using mortar as a binder and a trowel to level.
• Fastening bricks with wire clamps or cement.
• Working safely on scaffolds and swing stages at various heights.
• Using equipment and tools effectively to perform basic construction tasks.
• Foundations.
• Floor prep.
• Paving & Concreting.
• Ensure exceptional levels of customer care.
• Bring additional trade skills or be willing to upskill where appropriate.
• Submission of daily and weekly paperwork accurately and on time.

Monday – Friday. Hours TBC.
