About the Company – We are working with a market-leading client who are looking to recruit a new Material Controls/Storeman into their team for a major renewable energy project. My client continue to experience some amazing growth and this role presents a great opportunity to join their construction team. Our leading Engineering Client based in Nantwich, NW England is looking for a Materials Controller/Storeman for a 12 to 18 months Contract. About the Role – Here are the further details of the role: Title: Material Controller/Storeman Location: NW England Contract Role: 12 – 18 months Day Rate: Negotiable (DOE) via CIS (Outside IR35), “all in” day rate, including any travel/accommodation for this role Working Hours: 45 hours per week, Mon – Fri. No overtime is envisaged initially however this could change at short notice Start Date: Jan 2025 Responsibilities – Day to Day Duties The effective scheduling of components and materials to support construction schedules Placing and expediting purchase orders with suppliers Optimising inventory levels and stock Working closely with suppliers and monitoring supplier performance and adherence to SLA’s and contractual agreements Managing materials lead times and schedule demand utilising internal systems Collaborate closely with other operational teams to ensure effective material and component management Qualifications – Requirements: Recent experience in a similar role, such as Materials Controller / MRP Planner / Materials Planner / Purchasing Assistant / Purchasing Administrator Recent experience of working with MRP/ERP systems 2 References required prior to interview Up to date relevant certs, if applicable Recent experience and understanding of purchase order processes Strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving ability Good knowledge and experience using MS Excel Must be eligible to work in UK
